Studio Practice

Film // Video Editing

Film making has been my main focus in my studio practice, with many of the artworks I create along the research process being key features in the short film / documentary pieces I create. In using animation, drawings, photography, written text pieces, audio and video, I try to assemble layered narratives that explore a variety of themes including the self, parasocial relationships, trauma, location and history

The Subject under Observation (2019)

Memory Junction (2020)

Through using performance and found / archival footage, I aimed to visualise my personal relationship with time, space, identity and history in my local area.

"Brian's project "Memory Junction" looking at the communication between different time periods through landscape and ritual. Stills above from a live performance held today at the site of interest at sunset."

Finsta (2019)

Exploring the world of Aoife's private Instagram account and the goings-on behind the digital curtain.
